1. What is your primary mission or purpose?  Service or product oriented?
2. Is there an existing website, or will this project be starting from scratch?
3. If there is an existing website - is this an update or a redesign?  What is the current URL? 

Audiences and Purposes

1. Who are the target audiences for the site?  (List each separately)
2. What do you want each of those audiences to be able to accomplish using this site? (Be as descriptive as possible Do you have online transactions (i.e. order or purchase things, registration for conferences, sell things, list job openings, etc.)?
3. What is the priority of those objectives?

Content

1. What are the types of content that need to be covered on the site?
2. Of that list, which are relatively more stable/static (change only every 6-12 months) and which are more dynamic (change either daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)? 
3. How much of this content is already together, organized, etc and how much will require work on your part and/or our part to dig for it, update it, organize it, write it, and get it into electronic format?
4. Is this information primarily textual, or will there be a benefit from media (photos, graphics, audio, video?) 

Technical Environment

1. Do you have a web server already?
2. If you have a web server, does it have a database available to it?

Functionality

1. What are the types of functionality that you will need your end users to have access to?
2. Password-protected?
3. Request for information?
4. Fill out various forms online?
5. Orders taken online?
6. Links to other sites and resources?

Visual/User Interface Design

1. Do you have visual design standards?
2. Do you have logo?
3. If yes, can we get a copy of your logo?
4. Do you have a color palette that you want to stay with? Do you have any look/feel requirements? (We will work through all of the look and feel aspects of the project with you, but want to know if you already have a type of look that you already know you like.)
5. Are there any other design parameters that you want to tell us about?
6. Do you have any website that you like for us to see? (please provide the links)

Timing/Schedule

1. What can you tell us about proposed timing for the project?
2. Do you have a specific deadline? When are you hoping to get started? Are there deadlines by which certain features must be available?
3. Are the upcoming events for which certain features would be especially useful to have available ahead of time?
